Many health insurance plans will help pay for therapy. Coverage varies by insurance company and plan type. Prior to your first session, determine with your insurance provider any deductibles, co-insurance or copays for which you are responsible. You may find out this information by checking your summary of benefits, calling the member number on the back of your insurance card or contacting your Human Resources (HR) office. Your employer may also offer a limited number of free sessions through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Sioux Falls Wellness Counseling is contracted with several EAP companies.
Once insurance coverage is confirmed, you are expected to pay your portion of the fee at the time of your session. Any balances that may accrue are expected to be paid within a reasonable timeframe.
